What National Safety Month Means in the Time of COVID-19

June is National Safety Month. And in these days of COVID-19, the term safety has now taken on new meaning. The National Safety Council reported that one of the things people are most concerned with as the country is endeavoring to “re-open” is a return to work and other required activities. Consequently, many people are anxious about going into a medical or hospital setting in light of these concerns.

Your Safety is Our Priority

For many of the patients we see, an in-person procedure has been ordered by their physician to be done as soon as possible. Over the last few months, we have taken great care to provide the care that they need while taking all safety precautions possible. Because your safety is our priority, we are committed to giving you the safest and most reliable place to receive your diagnostic care.

Following CDC, State and Local Guidelines

As essential providers, we have been carefully following Centers for Disease Control guidelines as well as state and local government requirements to ensure that we can safely and effectively provide these essential services in our community.

Restricting the Number of Patients

Our visitor policy has carefully restricted the number of people we see to reduce any contagion and reduce the risk of exposure between our patients and our staff. We realize that these restrictions can be inconvenient but we also appreciate your understanding.

Precautions We Are Taking

To take the necessary precautions for our patients and their safety, we have implemented the following:

  • All staff will be wearing masks to ensure their safety and the safety of the patient.
  • Patients will be asked to wear a mask. If you don’t have one, we have masks available for you.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at entrances and throughout the building. Staff and patients alike are asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the building. Our staff will be sanitizing their hands before and after contact with each patient.

In our effort to keep our facilities as safe as possible, we have implemented many sanitizing efforts. All common areas such as our waiting rooms and restrooms are being cleaned often with special attention to surfaces that are frequently touched. Exam and diagnostic room surfaces are fully cleaned and disinfected between every patient.

We Ask That You Support Distancing in Our Waiting Room

In our effort to ensure your safety and that of other patients, we ask that you make every effort to support social distancing and create space of at least 6 feet between you and other waiting patients. We have taken great care to schedule appointments to ensure that fewer patients will be waiting at a given time.
